Black Harvest: Best Horror at Warsaw Glitch 2026
Black Harvest is the winner of Best Horror at the Ground Zero Edition. Directed by Giulio Fulchignoni, an Italian filmmaker blending artificial intelligence with cinematic storytelling.
More dystopian science-fiction nightmare than traditional horror, Black Harvest is the second spin-off set in the Embryom universe, an original narrative IP created by the director. A lone Raider crosses a landscape of industrial decay and living horror in search of Mireblood, a rare substance harvested from the poisoned lands. With every step, the journey reveals more of the brutal cost of survival.
The jury recognised the film for its uncompromising dystopian world-building, disturbing atmosphere and striking visual language, with a strong influence from the paintings of Zdzisław Beksiński, a connection that resonated especially with the Polish members of the jury. The other nominees in the category were In the Footsteps of Forest Spirits (directed by Emilian Szopa), The Alliance (directed by Jordan Daniel Chesney) and Too Young (directed by Wayne Thompson), with an honorable mention for Redemption (directed by Juan J. Espinosa).
