NINA tells the story of a handmade doll waiting for Katya, the girl who created her, to return home. When the waiting becomes unbearable, Nina takes a photograph of her girl and ventures into a shelled Ukrainian town to search for her.

The film was recognised for remarkable metaphorical storytelling and the powerful use of AI animation to convey the experience of war, creating a deeply moving portrayal that transcends geography, language and age. Through the eyes of something small and fragile, NINA transforms the incomprehensible scale of war into a story that can be understood and felt anywhere in the world. The jury, made up of 25 film industry professionals and filmmakers, reached the decision unanimously.

NINA was also recognised in two more categories: third place in Best AI Workflow, with 250 USD in credits sponsored by Floyo, and third place ex aequo in Best Sound, with a monthly plan sponsored by ElevenLabs.
