The Warsaw Glitch Awards take film, animation, documentary, music video, fashion film, advertising and online, social and vertical work, whether fully AI-generated, AI-assisted, hybrid or made the traditional way. What matters is the filmmaker's vision: technology is there to extend it, not to replace it. The final deadline is 1 August 2027, results come out on August 10, and the awards are presented at the festival in Warsaw on August 20-22, 2027. Entries run through FilmFreeway, the world's largest festival submission platform.

Categories and fees
Fees are per category, in US dollars, with a Standard and a Student rate. The price depends on when you enter: Earlybird until 1 January 2027, Regular until 31 May 2027, Late until 1 August 2027.

Live-action, hybrid and AI-assisted short fiction and experimental films. Judged on concept, direction, craft, originality, emotional impact and how the technology serves the filmmaker's vision.

Submit to All Categories + Professional Review
Your film enters every category it fits. On top of that: festival promotion, a dedicated post, a video review, a professional written analysis published on the Warsaw Glitch website and platform, and a mention in the newsletter.
The package does not guarantee selection, a nomination, a screening or an award.

Winners are chosen by the jury and the curatorial team, who look at craft, originality, direction, audiovisual impact, responsible use of technology and the strength of the filmmaker's vision. Final categories, distinctions, screening blocks and prizes are confirmed by the festival team in official channels.
Rules
What we accept
Fully AI-generated, AI-assisted, hybrid and traditional work. The idea behind the awards: technology should extend the filmmaker's vision, not replace it.
Eligibility
Films completed after 1 September 2025, unless the festival agrees otherwise. Any language is welcome; films not in English need English subtitles.
Screener and materials
A working screener link, with its password, must stay live until the festival ends. Credits, synopsis, stills and other materials go in through FilmFreeway.
Rights
By entering, you confirm you hold the rights, licences and consents for the whole film: image, sound, music, archive footage, AI-generated and third-party material.
Publication
Selected films may be published in full or in excerpts on the Warsaw Glitch website and on GLITCH TV, the festival's platform, and used in promotion, press and social media.
Selection and screening
Selection does not guarantee a physical screening: a film may play live, online, in a special block, in excerpts or in a curated presentation. The festival may move an entry to a better-suited category.
Fees
Entry fees are non-refundable and entering does not guarantee selection. The organiser may decline work that does not fit the festival's profile, theme, terms or curatorial direction.
