The Amer­i­can lawyer who wrote the rules for an in­dus­try that did not ex­ist yet. Found­ing part­ner of Vi­cente LLP, he helped draft Col­orado's Amend­ment 64 and co-au­thored the Nat­ur­al Med­i­cine Health Act, two laws that built a reg­u­lat­ed mar­ket from zero. Law Week Col­orado named him a Lawyer of the Year for 2025.

Founding partner of Vicente LLP, the American firm built around cannabis and psychedelics law, and one of the people who wrote the rules those industries now run on. He helped draft Colorado's Amendment 64, the first measure anywhere to legalise cannabis for all adults, and co-authored Proposition 122, the Natural Medicine Health Act, passed in 2022 with 54 percent of the vote, opening regulated access to natural psychedelic medicine. He helped found the Psychedelic Bar Association. Law Week Colorado named him a Lawyer of the Year for 2025.
