Extract Associated Designers and Architects has worked out of Berlin and Warsaw since 2001, where corporate identity meets building: logotypes and catalogues, interiors, and what they call branded architecture, designed, built and rolled out worldwide. Their portfolio runs through cinema chains, hotels and restaurants, banks and public institutions, among them Regal Cinemas, Helios, Cinema City and the tourism branding of São Tomé e Príncipe. The studio describes its job as communicating the essence of a business, the extract, and says it does corporate design and logos, catalogues and websites, advertising and branded architecture, then builds and implements it. Its site lists work in more than a dozen countries, from Germany and Poland to Cape Verde, Mozambique, Nigeria, the USA, Saudi Arabia and Portugal. The cinema work is the closest to our world: a complete overhaul of Regal Cinemas across the United States, from Miami and Chicago to San Diego and New York, and the flagship cinema of the Polish Helios chain, designed with a New York look. The studio also did the complete image for Cape Verde's best-known bank, from the slogan to credit cards, branch design and image films, and for a Berlin housing cooperative. It works in German, Polish, English and Portuguese.
