The gala closed the official part of Saturday evening at Teatr Szóste Piętro: the red carpet at 21:00 and the official festival closing at 21:30 came before it, and the afterparty started straight after. The evening opened with a presentation of the Polish team's winning production from the GenJam Director's Cup, with live music. International guests, festival partners and the creative team behind Freedom were also introduced on stage.

Results were announced after consultation with the international jury, so they appeared on the awards page as each one was confirmed. The first award announced after the festival was Best Ukrainian Film, for NINA, directed by Valerii Kocherhan.
