Instytut Filmowy

A Polish production house run as a joint-stock company, built out of film people and finance people, which takes a film from the idea through financing to distribution and promotion abroad. It works with established names and with newcomers alike. In its own words it is a pioneering Polish production house that joins leading experts from the film and finance industries to make productions of high artistic quality and strong commercial potential, on the belief that an effective producer reconciles what investors expect with the artistic vision of the filmmakers and the needs of today's audience. It describes the model as hybrid producer cinema. In preparation are the comedy-drama 3 Million Chances, the romantic comedy and thriller Wieczór panieński, the documentary Convertitevi (Nawróćcie się!) and the drama Nolan's Case. Its president, Radosław Jarecki, oversees a production himself at every stage, from raising the money to post-production. He has produced two features on his own, Bachelor Party and Influencer Girl, both of which opened in Polish cinemas in 2024 and went on to Netflix, and he backs new technology and younger talent. Jarecki is also on the festival's guest list.
