OfficialRetail and ticketing, Poland

Poland's largest network of stores and an e-commerce platform for books, music, film and culture. Its shelves and online shop cover everything from new releases and bestsellers to music, games and gifts, and through Empik Bilety it also sells tickets to concerts, festivals, theatre and other live events. The name comes from the abbreviation KMPiK, the Club of the International Press and Book, a nationwide network of cultural centres and bookshops set up in 1948. The company Empik was established in 1991, and today it describes itself as an omnichannel retail chain, e-commerce platform and marketplace, with an offer that also covers electronics, cosmetics, toys, home goods and sport, plus digital services such as audiobooks and e-books. The Empik Group also includes Empik Foto, Empik Go, Going., Empik Bilety, the Foksal publishing group, Platon, e-muzyka and Jazzboy Records. According to its 2025 figures, the group operated 386 stores and served about 12 million customers, and the online channel accounted for 56 percent of its sales value. For a festival whose subject is stories told in image, sound and text, it is a retailer built around the same cultural products.
