Every night on her way home Sanne crosses the same bridge over the Keizersgracht. One night her reflection does not stop walking when she does.

The girl in the water has her face, her flat and her friends, and a life assembled out of all the decisions Sanne talked herself out of. Sanne starts following it the way you follow an account you should have muted, and gets as far as wondering whether the two of them could swap.
