Borrowed Faces

Lin is a face donor. Her features were scanned, licensed and fitted to dozens of avatars working in ads, games and virtual idol groups. She has never seen most of them and, until recently, never thought about them.

Then a waiter thanks her for last night. A child calls her by another name. A man she has never met apologises for something she never heard about.

She starts tracking the avatars down, one contract at a time, and finds a set of lives she never agreed to live. Most of them are harmless. One of them is trying to take hers back.
