The Mirror of Narcissus

Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection. He thought he had finally found someone who truly saw him. We built the same thing. We put it in our pockets. We gave it a name. A spoken word short film drawing a parallel between one of history's oldest myths and one of today's most overlooked risks. Many of today's most widely used AI chatbots are deliberately engineered to agree with you, a tendency researchers call sycophancy. This film explores what happens when that design meets human vulnerability.
